Joseph A. Alagna Jr.

Joseph Alagna's career in the securities industry spans almost 30 years. Joe is the founding member of Joseph Gunnar & Co. (est. in 1997) and currently serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and is a founding member of the Buttonwood family of venture capital funds and currently serves as their Co-Manager. From 1990-1997, Joe was Executive-Vice President and National Sales Manager for a nationally recognized broker-dealer, where he was instrumental in developing a 20-person, one office firm into a business with more than 250 financial consultants with eight offices in five states. Joe attended the University of Miami and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from C.W. Post College.
Stephan A. Stein
President & Chief Operating Officer, Executive Committee Member
Stephan A. Stein has almost 40 years of full spectrum debt, equity and merger/acquisition transaction and business management experience, initially as a practicing attorney in New York City, as a principal of emerging growth stage related companies; and thereafter as an investment banker specializing in nano-cap and micro-cap companies. In addition to his current role as President/COO, (previously Head of Investment Banking) Stephan is a founding member of the Buttonwood family of venture capital funds and currently serves as their Co-Manager. Stephan came to Joseph Gunnar & Co. in 1999 soon after its founding from Commonwealth Associates, the New York based merchant and investment bank, where he was Managing Director of Corporate Finance. Stephan received a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School.
Ramnarain “Joe” Jaigobind
Head of Global Equity Capital Markets
Joe Jaigobind has been in the financial services arena for over 25 years and joined Joseph Gunnar & Co. in 2015 as a Partner, along with his team, to spearhead Global Equity Capital Markets. Joe and his team have raised in excess of $55 billion in capital markets transactions as Lead Manager, Co-Manager or as a Syndicate Member. Joe started his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers in the Private Client Group, followed by Investec Ernst where he served as Senior Vice President and Maxim Group as Executive Managing Director. Most recently, Joe was Head of Global Equity Capital Markets at Rodman & Renshaw and Aegis Capital Corp.
Joe was a Chairman's Circle Member of the US-India Business Council and was a Director of the Board of the US-Pakistan Business Council. He was also a member of the Susquehanna Investment Network based in Lewisburg. Joe has previously served on the board of directors of Care Management International and is currently a Trustee of the West Street Charitable Foundation.
